A Warm Welcome
You have come to a growing space for in-depth articles, side notes, and background material inspired by our project Frozen Atlantis.
Frozen Atlantis is an outreach project in the field of Public History, exploring 21st-century encounters with the worlds of Olof Rudbeck (1630–1702) – a Swedish Renaissance man who claimed his homeland as the origin of all myth (including the utopian world ancient stories described as Atlantis).
The project has taken shape across several media, including a feature film and a theatre play. Here on The Notebook, you’ll find illustrated essays and reflections that lead into deeper layers of this journey – through personal narration, travel writing, archival discoveries, and encounters with the shifting landscapes Rudbeck once connected to ancient myth.
